Motor

To drive the unit, we use a low voltage three-phase motor mounted on the cooling tower roof outside the moist air flow. The most common installation type is B3. For new units we use class IE3 only.

For replacements, we try to comply with the latest standards as far as technically possible. The common protection class is IP54 or higher on request. Motors for EX-protection area can also be supplied. PTC winding temperature sensors for operation with frequency inverters are provided as standard.

Matching of the existing VSD with the new motor may have to be made with regard to noise emission, if necessary.
